This .NET Development Server provides shared developer access
for exploring .NET programming and development.
The development server provides a full version of
Visual Studio .NET Professional,
plus example programs and academic resources for instructional use.
From a remote network workstation, you can access the .NET Development Server to write, compile, debug and execute
.NET console, .NET Windows and ASP.NET web service applications using a variety of different programming languages.
This development server is designed for access from networked workstations using a small remote desktop terminal service client. The remote desktop software can be downloaded from this site using the install links further below. Details for installing and using the remote desktop software, along with "getting started" instructions on programming with the .NET Development Server are provided in the .NET Development Server - Developer Jump Start guide available here:

Remote Desktop Terminal Service
The Microsoft Remote Desktop
terminal service application
is compatible for use with Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, NT4, and 2000 workstations.
Remote Desktop comes pre-installed with Windows XP.
Installation and operating instructions for using Remote Desktop are provided in the
.NET Development Server - Developer Jump Start (above).

Other Terminal Service Clients
Other compatible terminal service clients are available for
non-Windows platforms such as Apple Macintosh, MS-DOS, and Unix.
