Connecting to the Rice Network

For those of you interested in accessing the rice network from your pocket pc (e.g., being able to access \\samba\your user name), you need to do the following:

1. Open Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections.
2. Under "When needed, automatically connect to Work using these settings", create a new profile called Rice.
3. While setting up the profile, choose proxy settings and check "This network connects to the Internet."
4. Set the "Rice" profile for both Internet and Work connections.
5. Choose "My network card connects to: Work".
